I really hope that one of the things I'll accomplish with all this is to change the attitude toward people over 50. We are vital, we can and often want to continue working and being productive. WTF! There are way too many people out there who would not hire someone even over the age of 45 or 50. It's so silly because we have so much to offer. This is especially true when we're doing something we love. Man, I would love to see many of the burned-out elementry school teachers replaced with an over-50 who is devoted to education. A distant relative from Cleveland says to me last night over dinner, what? you got a new job/career last year at 63? I was more surprised to see the look on his face because he employs about 60 people. Probably wouldn't have given me a job because of my age. In truth I feel the same, actually much more experienced and in control, than when I was 30, so BFD you gotta do what you gotta do, and enjoy every second of the journey. Delete all the other negative stuff since it's mostly in your head. Now if only my partner would feel this way...hmmm Hey - it’s mostly in your head. I do often find a sort of reverse negativity though...in other words, often when people are trying to be positive, they'll word what they're saying with a somewhat negative focus. For example, when someone wants to express their positive attitude about getting a raise at work, they might write, "I'm hoping to get more money," which implies that they're not getting enough.
